Transformers 2007 -- spoilers galore. Be warned.

So, i was finally able to watch the new Transformers film. I am a fan of the Generation 1 series so i really had high expectations like the rest of the fans. Graphics-wise, it impressed. In fact, i want to see it again. And again. And again. Makes me hope that they make a Gundam movie next. Haha.

I have to say though, even though the Decepticons outnumbered the Autobots, the mere fact that Bumblebee and Starscream were there gave me a
big happy. And making Starscream an F-22 Raptor? How cool is that! I'd have wanted to see Bumblebee (BEE-OTCH!) in his original form but i understand the need to modernize. The homage at the dealership was enough for me. What happened to Jazz, however, broke my heart. When Megatron was killed, one word came to mind: Galvatron! And then i thought, omg si Starscream na ang leader ng Decepticons? Ok, so probably temporary lang yun, if ever. Given that, it might not be the last time we see those who "perished". It clearly paves the way for Galvatron *insert evil laugh*. Before i forget though, where the hell was Hot Rod? I'd have thought he'd be in the first film, assuming there would be sequels. But i guess if all of them were already in the beginning, there wouldn't be much to look forward to in the sequels right?

How was Megatron able to "copy" a modern jet and why wasn't he a gun/canon? Hindi naman pwedeng he got it 80 or 70 years ago kasi modern yung plane. And i'm assuming na hindi Raptor yun kasi Starscream is already one. If they're both Raptors it's bringing their rivalry to a different level na. Besides, they don't look the same. Kudos to the writers for Megatron's line "You have failed me yet again, Starscream" or something like that because it was a good nod to the rivalry between them. And also for casting Peter Cullen as the voice of Prime, yey! When he spoke at the beginning, i thought of Voltron haha. Weird lang, i didn't recognize Hugo Weaving's voice
mrgreen
